Video recording (Videography)
Videography is used to generate Sales DVD's, Demonstrations, Training aids, Legal Depositions, Accident Reports, Advertising documents, or many other similar items. Sales DVD's include "Real Estate Demonstrations", "Product Demonstrations", or "Status Reports." Training aids can be used anywhere a frequent training cycle is occurring. Hospital procedures or factory procedures are ideal applications. The videos are to be worked with sound over, slides, Power Point Presentations, titles, crawls, or Word Documents. Rustcraft is your source for the TOTAL package.
Examples of Flash videos are everywhere on the net. These can be generated and incorporated with the Web Sites, or presented as streaming video. An example of a Real Estate presentation is shown on the left, and some special effects are noted on the right and below. Please view these videos by clicking the small arrow on the bottom control panel of each display.
Family history and events stored on film or magnetic tape are subject to degradation. These may be transferred to video. The transfer of magnetic tape material to video requires good integrity of the video sync signals. As the tapes grow older, this becomes a problem. The loss of these sync signals may cause "jumping" and/or lip sync problems on the transferred video. It is advisable to get the transfer as soon as possible. For older transfers, the "jumps" problems need to be anticipated. Video quality and lighting problems and some audio problems may be improved. The film and magnetic tape will continually become more aged. DVD's do not age, although they can be damaged by dust and handling.
Weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, or any other special event may be recorded. The impact difference of a videographic recording contrasted to a simple photograph is overwhelming. The people and their voices and mannerisms are brought to life. The event, sounds, and movements come alive again.
Video recordings are made with standard NTSC video formats or HDTV formats.
All video will be recorded with the intent of editing using Adobe software. The video is generally performed with a single camera, although multiple cameras may be applied if required. Video special effects include keys, masks, superpositions, edits, filters, and enhancements. The video to the right demonstrates various keys, and the video to the left demonstrates cartoonization of the video, an enhancement.
The audio can be with camera mounted microphones, or any of several microphone types. Audio may also be recorded using professional microphones and mastering equipment. Voice over announcements, comments, or music will be applied post recording as a portion of the editing process. The editing capability includes all normal video transition, special effects, titles, subtitles, and animation. Audio special effects include audio noise reduction, echo, filtering, stretching, and multiple channel mixing capabilities during the editing process.
Audio work is performed at the "State of the Art for Professionals" level with Adobe Audition software. The audio facilities may also be used to generate audio audition tapes, or tapes for analysis of the groups "sound".
