DVD

Family history and events stored on film or magnetic tape are subject to degradation.  These may be transferred to video.  The transfer of magnetic tape material to video requires good integrity of the video sync signals.  As the tapes grow older, this becomes a problem.  The loss of these sync signals may cause "jumping" and/or lip sync problems on the transferred video.  It is advisable to get the transfer as soon as possible.  For older transfers, the "jumps" problems need to be anticipated.  Video quality and lighting problems and some audio problems may be improved.  The film and magnetic tape will continually become more aged.  DVD's do not age, although they can be damaged by dust and handling.

Like the photos, Videos may be refurbished to some extent.  Because of the nature of video vs. photos, the refurbish action is much more time consuming and may not be as flexible.  Please call for quotes.

Rustcraft has the ability to handle most video types.

  • Video is noise reduced and stabilized.
